"A quality learning tool ****"

“This is a very useful app for kids and is easy to use. My only complaint is with the handwriting part of the app, which should not let you advance to the next letter if you do not write the letter accurately, with a small margin of error. For example, as it is now if you are asked to draw the letter "a", you could make a "t", or a horribly illegible "a" and the program will still let you proceed to the next letter, which doesn't seem to be the best way to help kids learn to make their letters. It would definitely be a five star app with the handwriting fixed to help improve kids accuracy!”

I have to admit that I agree with Mr Purps. When I first developed this part of PocketPhonics, I wanted to do something very similar. I couldn’t though see how to do it at the time.

I’m now in the midst of developing another application (Dot-to-dot). I’m hoping that some of the technology I’m creating in that, will make it possible for me to do what Mr Purps describes.

Thanks to Mr Purps for his kind words and suggestion on PocketPhonics. It’s good to know that there’d be interest in something like this.
